Sandpiper (Isoshigi)

Teinga (Actitis) hypoleucos
On the 30th Dec. evening, I looked a comon sandpiper at the riverside, it was my first time to look at. It was very similar with green sandpiper, but the body's white part spreads to the shoulders, it is the difference of the two kinds. It is very difficult to identify the kind of snipes.

12月30日、夕方川辺で、初めてイソシギを見た。クサシギとよく似ているが、白い部分が肩まで広がっているところが違う。鴫類は識別するのが本当に難しい。
